Hello Robin and all! I took your comment about simplification serious and h= ave invested a bit more time :) So, there is a Windows Setup program for Gl= osaReader now, making installation on a Windows machine a lot easier and mo= re familiar. I also wrote some documentation, including installation instru= ctions, usage of the program, and a step-by-step example of how to integrat= e the program into a web page. It would be nice to know, which part is part= icularly tricky or unclear. So if you have questions, suggestions, problems= , etc, you know how to find me :)

Best regards, Eike

Karo glosa= -pe,

I recently had some spare time, and created a new version of th= e GlosaReader program:

  • The basic functionality didn’t change, s= o you still copypaste some text into it and move the mouse over words to= get translations
  • The lookup routine is now error-tolerant, e.g. it lo= oks in the dictionary for the 20 best matching words (not only exact mat= ches)
  • The lookup of words is delayed a short time, so you have the cha= nce to move the mouse to the lower part of the program and inspect the = looked up words
  • You can integrate the application into your webpages= , showing a text of your choice

You find the new version here:

and have a look on an example that ru= ns online here (this requires a Java(tm) Plugin Version 1.4 or greater; = see above page for more info):
