Discrepancies : No-gru

Thank you very much for the kind words. I’ve been stung more than a few ti= mes out there in the society. Perhaps I can feel safe in this small Glosa = community. I’ve done a quick check on “Internet Dictionary: Glosa-English”= . I found some discrepancies; perhaps I don’t understand the languages; o= r perhaps the online dictionaries, I used, are not good enough, etc.

• a = – at, till, to, towards, up to –> actually, “a” in Latin means “by, from= , after”; though “ad” seems to be correct; “a” matches modern Romance lang= uages, but is it fair to other languages?
• abandona 1 – abandon –> “aba= ndona” does not seem to exist in Latin; the Latin word is “relinquo” (it i= s listed as “relinqi” here); perhaps it was taken from a Spanish word “aba= ndonar” (but not marked Sp).
• acetabula – socket –> “acetabula” means = a “small cup”; the more appropriate word seems to be “cavea” in Latin.
• = adagio – graceful, slow –> “adagio” actually means “proverb”; it seems t= hat “graceful” supposed to be “venusta”. I am wondering if I should go ove= r the whole list and report discrepancies or is it that I would be just wa= sting my time? ***** Mega gratia de gentili verba.
