Well, I don’t know what particular method was used by the Longman lexicogra= phers to get the set of 2200 essential words at their definitions, just as = I don’t know what particular method was used by Charles Ogden to get his 85= 0 basic words and his basic dictionary.
But I can imagine they began by lo= oking at some well-known frequency list (maybe one by Thorndike) and then a= dded all the words that proved to be especially necessary at their definiti= ons, until getting a final “theoretical list” of essential words.

I forgot the name of it, it was a project on g= oogle, or by google, I don’t remember which.

sixth - sixa (sed ma..) stranger - posi neo pe, n= e-ge-ski pe, pe qi es ne-ge-ski, depending on situation. (I guess xeno-pe= (foreigner) is only intended for ‘out-of-country person’, …alo…u ne = ben ge-ski pe (Mi sio uti ‘bene’…posi! … “strange” can also be used = in a more general sense, e kaso u-la, mi sio uti “xeno”.
