Participles / Plu deskribe akti-verba:
Qo-ka tu puta; “peti avi” e “stude ju-an” ne es boni? Si lekto-pe logi; “avi” e “ju-an” es nima-verba e “avi” e “studi” es akti-verba, panto es boni, qe ne? Si grafo-pe vole sti gravi plu-ci akti, an pote grafo “avi, qi peti” alo “avi, qi du peti”, et cetera.
I agree with this. It is not necessary in Glosa to change a word to make it a present participle, but using QI may make the intent more clear.
Many languages also add a more distinct tense to participles and use them in place of these QI constructions: / Poli lingua adi u ma exakti tem a plu deskribe akti-verba, e uti mu vice plu tali QI skema:
The bird (while) flying next to the tree watched the cat. / The bird, before flying (about to fly) next to the tree, watched the cat. / The bird, after flying (having flown) next to the tree, watched the cat.
Sadly, many English speakers have a difficult time with such sentences even in their own language.
