If you avoid the website, reading as email (especially digested), the adverts aren’t very obtrusive at all. It works very well. Maintains the archives too, and in an easily searchable fashion!

The problem here is not the software, it’s lack of administration. Anybody can maintain a newsletter using any plain email program. So the real question is WHO, not WHERE. And then, unless he is willing to filter out Jay-style flames, it still won’t work.
