Hi Myaleee,

 It's true that all Indo-European languages (as far as = I know) have the present participle, but I don't think that this is a lingu= istic universal.  In Chinese, which is an isolating language like Glosa, th= ere is no participle form for words representing states/actions.  There are=  particles to indicate whether the state/action is ongoing or completed, bu= t this isn't the same thing as having a past/present participle and there a= re, of course, similar particles in Glosa.
